Pot-Limit Omaha
In Pot-Limit Omaha You get 4 cards and the maximum amount that you can bet and Raise is equal to what the pot already holds. It’s similar to Texas Hold’em in that there’s a Flop, Turn, and a River, but you use 2 of your Hole cards along with 3 Community Cards to create the best-possible Poker-ranked hand.
Seven-Card Stud
Seven-Card Stud is perfect for players that appreciate slower casino games that have betting limits and offer rewards for a good memory. There are no Community cards in this variation and it’s almost always played with fixed betting limits.
Each player pays an Ante and receives 3 cards, 2 face-down, 1 facing up. The player with the lowest Door, or face-up, card Brings it In or Completes. If the Ante is 1, for example, the Bring-In is usually 5, and if they wish to Complete instead, they’ll pay in 10.
After everyone has taken their turn, each player gets another card dealt them, called Fourth Street. Wagering now begins with the player with the highest-value hand showing and then moves clockwise around the table.
This pattern continues, with everyone receiving another card facing up on Fifth Street and then one more on Sixth Street. Seventh Street, in a game called Seven-Card Stud, is obviously special. It’s here that players get another card, the 7th, and it’s dealt face-down.
Everyone who is still in the game after this final round of betting must now show their cards and make the best five-card hand they can to win.
Texas Hold’em
They say everything is bigger in Texas and maybe that’s why this is the world’s most popular variation, online or off. Word has it that Texas Hold’em takes five minutes to learn and a lifetime to master, a possible reason it’s so well-liked. It’s also very easy to learn and will take you only a couple of minutes to get the hang of, a lot like online Bingo NZ.
Texas Hold’em uses forced bets called Blinds. The player seated to the left of the dealer is the Small Blind and the next player to the left is the Big Blind. Each player gets dealt 2 cards facing down and the first round of wagering begins with the player to the left of the Big Blind. Each person can then Call this Big Blind, Fold, or Raise.
After the first round of stakes the dealer Burns 1 card face-down before putting down 3 Community Cards face-up in the middle of the table. Another round of betting then commences with the player to the left of the dealer.
Once again, the dealer burns a card and then a 4th Community Card, the Turn, is put down. Then another round of betting begins and the 5th Community Card, the River, is revealed, followed by the final round of wagers. Anyone still in the game then reveals their cards to determine the winner. Players can use none, 1, or both of their Hole cards with the Community Cards to make the best possible ranked hand they can.
